Well, aside from being set in the "Grim, Dark, Perilous Old World" (snicker) of the Warhammer Fantasy Battle IP, it is almost entirely different, on most fundamental levels.

For example, no levels. You gain exp, buy stat/skill/feat-equivalent talents with said exp, and change careers once you've completed the advance scheme for the one you're in.

The dice rolling mechanics is like the old Paladium system, where it's all percentage based out of 100. You don't roll a dice, add a bonus, then compare that to a target number. Instead, you roll a d100, and if it's under the stat/skill number, you succeed. It's also really easy to get killed, so avoiding combat is actually encouraged.

I've been playing D&D since AD&D 2e, and am even now playing 4th. Honestly, as a player and a GM, I tend to like the Warhammer system better.

Plus, Troll Slayers. How can you go wrong with a red-mohawked dwarf with a big weapon and a death wish?

im probably gonna try WFRP, and see how it goes.

It may take some getting used to from the D&D system, dont really like 4th Edition, i like 3.5 better

and i play in a mordheim league so i know that you cant go wrong with a huge mass of muscle and deathwish
